Program Description:

PCG warmly invites you to celebrate as we release the exhibition catalog for A Dialogue on Distortion: Graham McDougal & Bayne Peterson. The artists will deliver short artist talks and Q&A session before the Hunt-Cavanagh Gallery opens up for a reception with refreshments.

This exhibition brings together two artists whose making methodologies distort, exaggerate and expressionistically manipulate fabrication processes. The joint presentation features dozens of new and recent works, most of which have been created specifically for this show to emphasize the formal and conceptual commonalities of artists working in different dimensions and with drastically different materials.

For the catalog, an essay by PCG Director & Curator Jamilee Lacy is joined by interviews with both artists conducted by writer and curator Lauren Ross as well as stellar documentation of the exhibition by photographer Scott Alario. Copies will be for sale throughout the evening.
