Stitch and Stay Awhile

Program Description:

Stitch & Stay Awhile is a collaborative experiment in care & repair designed and run by Heather McMordie. The project, which began as an experiment in remote collaboration in May 2021, now takes an entirely in-person format, inviting participants to spend time mending together. Participants are invited to spend as little or as much time as they like mending a series of cyanotypes on damaged silk and meditating to the sounds of local salt marshes. No prior sewing experience is required and all ages and abilities are welcome! All necessary materials will be provided to participants.
