Description

PCG & VRC technicians monitor and assist in the galleries and visual resource center. Duties include assisting art galleries and art/art history department faculty and staff with administrative and communications projects, exhibition installation, art collection management, and general maintenance of the College’s art resources. Applications are currently being accepted from Art & Art History department majors and minors. If available positions are not filled, applications from students with other majors will be accepted as early as September 28, 2021.

Required Qualifications: Capacity to professionally communicate with on- and off-campus publics; proficient writing and research skills; ability to lift 30 lbs. Supervisor will train in all other areas.

Preferred Qualifications: Studio art and art history majors and minors preferred and prioritized through September 28; applicants from all academic disciplines, especially those with interests in art, culture, writing, and museums, will be considered if positions are not filled.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30 lbs, help with galleries and art collection clean up, work occasional nights and weekends and at off-campus events, comfortable speaking with diverse publics, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
