Description
The Peterson Family Internship is a seven-month, pre-professional internship for a Providence College rising junior or senior. The intern will work primarily in PCG’s art storage facility. The intern’s work will be focused on the PCG’s collection of approximately 4,000 objects, representing a wide variety of materials, subject matter, and time periods and filled with oddities of material culture and masterworks by renowned contemporary artists alike.
This paid internship consists of an 8-10-hour-a-week position during the academic year and a 20-hour-a-week position during the summer. Exact responsibilities will be determined by the needs of PCG and the student’s interests. Applicants must commit to working the full two-semester academic year and subsequent summer.
The Peterson Family Internship is generously supported by Erik “Pete” Peterson (PC ’86) and Theresa Cairns Peterson (PC ’89).
Applications for the 2022 Peterson Family Intern will open in February 2022.
